Engaging Engagement Garden Party, Michael Toccin & Alexandra Adler
In this Engaging Engagement party, Jose Graterol of http://www.josedesigns.com was called to complement the inventive, modern vibe for the designer Michael Toccin and his bride-to-be, Alexandra Adler.
The setting~ Daniel and Ferne Toccin's lush, exotic gardens, South Miami. The date, April 17, 2010, a day when good luck was on our side, the Miami warmth reappeared, the rain cleared, and the moon's sliver lit the sky. Clear top tent, open sides, black floor, white fitted-linens on all tables, Mirror tabletops on all square tables, 8 crystal chandeliers. All White flowers with a POP! of Purple Vanda Orchids is what Jose proposed after previewing the property, a few weeks prior to the event. With the scene painted in his mind, Jose went (nearly) crazy to customize an amazing night, infusing the personality of the clients!
Several vendors (and very important people) contributed to this event. Victoria Chase spent countless hours ensuring that everything ran smoothly, as the most amazing event planner! Erin at Cafe Cocoanut Catering of West Palm Beach, 561-686-8288, was responsible for the tasty meals, including a midnight breakfast! Niki Kantor Rubin of http://www.paperyandcakery.com provided the square, embroidered black-on-white table numbers. Suzie at Panache Party Rentals 954-935-9422, provided glassware, tableware, napkins. Sharon Eliasi was the talented photographer with whom we were so excited to finally work together! His blog on this event is http://sharoneliasi.com/blog/
For the Entry arrangement in the house, Jose set the tone with lush white roses and Phalaenopsis orchids.

Jose designed the unique vessel which was the focal point of the Place Card table. It was the premier use of this amazing piece! It enables guests to focus on the true beauty of each flower~ active-interaction!

The central piece for the cocktail area, evoked Asian-Organic-Modernism. The food here was Pad Thai and sushi in Chinese-takeaway boxes. Jose's creation incorporated Bamboo stalks, cascading Orchids (how do they remain up there?), Twine, Moss, Succulents, River Rocks.
Curiosities were piqued for what would be the decor in the dining area! Jose excels in delighting the viewer, teasing the senses, creating exciting environments!
The tent was filled with the most imaginative, uniquely gorgeous and lush centerpieces. Every acrylic piece/container is designed by Jose Graterol. Jose says: "I can't invent the flower. I can only invent the way in which you look at it, interpret it, enjoy it. I design the containers so that when photos are taken at night, you see everything float in the air, since the acrylic is clear and disappears in photos!"
On the tall centerpieces, large, graduated rectangular candles glowed all night long! Guests enjoyed flowers at eye level! On the medium height pieces, orchids fluttered overhead. On the Royal Tables, there was an undulating rhythm to the centerpieces with flowers, overhead and on the table, interspersed with floating candles. Stainless steel ball candles united all the tables. The Buffet Arrangement was a fluted, black ceramic vase with fireworks display of orchids and hydrangeas!
Jose Graterol is known for total control, perfection in execution, detail, our team, our work! We pride ourselves by reinventing event design! We look forward to hearing from you about your next party, 305-788-0562.
